I have been hearing about this great leap you have made. We are so proud! Keep it up! Your body will Thankyou! Do you know what today is? Guess! I will give you a hint...it is taking everything I have not to cry and curl up in a ball but instead I am going to drive to Vegas and be brave! AGGGHHH! Stupid Challenge! I have missed you in the blogging world lately!
I had no idea you were taking this on! Congrats:) What's replacing it? Water? Mmmm... yummy water. I love water:)
So, are you going to be like a recovering diet coke-aholic? Can you never have one sip again or do you think one day you will be able to regulate your intake and not end up on top of the table dancing and yelling at quilt retreat?... hehe:)
Question. How do you intend to function at QR? Is there a soda-substitute that I don't know about? Or will you just go to bed a reasonable time and forgo the whole 2 am emotional breakdown portion of the weekend?
I have the same goal as you - I want to get my part of Karen's quilt done by March 1st. I am coming down to St. George the 1st week of March, so don't mail it, I'll just get it from you.
I am a thirty something, semi-creative, sometimes neurotic person who can't seem to make it through a day without a Diet Coke & some sort of chocolate. People who know me well will say that I can survive on little or no sleep and often bite off more than I can chew. I love my husband and we are currently trying to raise 4 beautiful human beings to be responsible members of society. Sometimes I get it right, other times I fall short, and this is my attempt at documenting it...
Keaton & Shay were playing soccer in the living room last Sunday, I told them to take it outside. Shay, not wanting to go outside, said "We can't play outside on Sunday." Keaton dissappeared into his room. He later came out & said that "Jesus spoke in his ear and said that it was OK to play outside on Sunday."
When we were all giving suggestions for a name for Sam & Lacey's new baby, Keaton offered his name as an option. "That way" he said, "he would be able to go by Nike all of the time."
We were at the store buying icee's after preschool, Keaton said we can't get the brown kind because it has 'chlorine' in it.
Keaton's latest....He said to me after I was attempting to comb his hair, "but Mom, we only comb our hair for stores & dates."
Keaton was in his own little world while playing with some star wars figurines. They were fighting (complete with sound effects & all), when one figurine who was about to take out the other one said....CALLED. TO. SERVE. OUR. KING!!
We were watching Shay play basketball in a tournament this last week & Keaton yells, "Come on Shay, you can move faster than that!!!"
Keaton and an older lady were having a conversation while in line at the grocery store: Lady: "Hi, what's your name? Keaton: "Keaton, what's yours?" Lady: "Mary" Keaton: "Oh!!! Do you have a little lamb?"
Keaton was just about asleep in the car & I asked him if he needed to take a nap. He replied "No, I am just practicing being quiet for church." 2 minutes later, he was out.
Today, Keaton was asked what CTR stands for. He replied, LSU. (mmm...maybe we need to reevaluate our FHE's)
In Testimony meeting, a man with long hair got up and bore his testimony. Keaton asked, "Dad, is that Jesus?"
After coming out of my bedroom & on the way to church, Keaton says, "Mom, do you know what you are? You're a hotty!!"
Primary teacher told me the other day that Keaton said that his Dad had a whole in his hair.
Tanner asks, "Mom, what is Viagra?" (The following conversation was funnier, but I'll spare you the details)
Frustrated, Keaton comes in from playing with Tanner & Baylee & says, "MOM!!! Tanner called me a model!!!"
Keaton asks, "Tanner, did you know that 'what the help' is a bad word?"

Why, oh why do you have to make me feel guilty and give up diet coke? It actually looks so refreshing in the picture I think I will go grab one.
Wow! WOW! We'll have to find a substitute for it at quilt retreat.

If I can go without coffee, you can go without coke!
Love, Hillary
